Pupil Wellbeing
What can I do to help look after myself?
The Five Ways to Wellbeing:
- Connect
- Be active
- Take notice
- Keep learning
- Give
Connect: Spend time with family and friends. Enjoy doing things together and speaking with each other.
Be active: Go for a walk or other form of exercise to be out of the house and enjoy some fresh air and take in the sights and sounds of nature.
Take notice: Relax, take a break, listen to some music, take some deep breaths.
Keep learning: Try something new; this could be a new hobby or sport or learn about something you are interested in.
Give: Do something for someone else.

Listen to music
Music can relax you, connect you to your emotions and distract you from worrying thoughts.
- Listen to your favourite songs. Turn up the volume and dance or sing along, or put your headphones on and close your eyes.
- Really listen to the music. Can you pick out different instruments? Can you hear a drum beat or a certain rhythm? Focus on the music, and let other thoughts fade away.
